A CENTURY OF HISTORY, A NEW BEGINNING

Coinciding with its 100th anniversary, Afi Esca sought new offices that would honour its history while also reflecting its forward-looking vision. The choice of Foro Buonaparte 51, a charming early 20th-century building, was undoubtedly symbolic. However, transforming its historic interiors into an efficient workspace posed a significant challenge: how to optimise the layout while preserving the original spatial divisions and the elegant architectural details that define its heritage?

A SUCCESSFUL COLLABORATION BETWEEN DESIGNERS AND CLIENT

Working closely with Afi Esca, Altis developed a design that honours the building’s character, enhancing the historic wood panelling with flexible storage solutions that leave it fully visible and preserving the original flooring wherever possible. The design carefully balances institutional furnishings, such as the marble meeting room table, with playful accents like the red armchair at the entrance and vibrant orange seating, adding energy and reflecting the company’s innovative spirit. Employee well-being is a priority, ensured through ergonomic furnishings and enhanced acoustic comfort, achieved with sound-absorbing ceiling panels.
