    Milan

Erion is Italy's leading collective system for the management of electronic waste and the promotion of the circular economy. The new headquarters was conceived to translate this mission into a workplace capable of supporting daily operations, welcoming institutional stakeholders and giving tangible expression to the organisation's values.

    Designing According to Your Principles

For an organisation committed to resource recovery and the responsible use of materials, sustainability could not remain a statement of intent. One of the project's key objectives was the reuse of almost all the furniture from the previous office. Cataloguing, assessing, relocating and integrating existing elements into a new layout required significant coordination, transforming a choice aligned with the company's mission into a concrete design opportunity

    An Open and Flexible Workplace

The workplace was designed to support different ways of working and encourage collaboration across teams. Four open-plan areas accommodate the various business functions, while a central band of shared services connects the spaces and encourages interaction between people. Meeting pods, touchdown stations, meeting rooms of different sizes and a reconfigurable plenary room provide a high degree of flexibility and adaptability.

    Welcoming and Representing

The office regularly hosts visitors, institutional representatives and stakeholders from a wide range of organisations. Reception areas, meeting spaces and shared environments therefore play a central role in the workplace experience. The feature wall that defines the entrance, made from compressed OSB panels, incorporates the Erion logo and a sculpted bas-relief landscape, transforming the organisation's mission into an immediately recognisable architectural element.

    Giving Form to Sustainability

Natural materials, colour accents inspired by the brand identity and a strong emphasis on natural light define a workplace that feels both coherent and contemporary. Timber elements reinforce the connection with nature, while the blue flooring and yellow and grey accents echo the organisation's visual language. The result is a space that makes Erion's commitment to responsibility, reuse and sustainability visible in the everyday experience of the workplace.
