When the laboratory leads the project

From the earliest stages, the laboratory represented the most complex element of the project. Building services requirements, the integration of scientific equipment and specific operational conditions demanded a level of coordination beyond that of a conventional workplace. This complexity was further increased by the need to work closely with the building landlord while the base build was still under development.

Integrating Expertise from the Start

Altis approached the project through an integrated design process involving architects, engineers and client-side specialists well before the architectural design phase began. This approach made it possible to coordinate operational requirements, technical constraints and project objectives within a single framework, developing shared solutions and ensuring that the laboratory would fully support both current and future needs. The same principle informed the strategy of reusing selected existing furniture, helping to optimise resources and investment.
