Workplace science

Workplaces aren’t just built—they’re shaped by data, insights, and human experience. Through research and insights, we explore the science behind how environments shape behaviour, productivity, and wellbeing. For offices that work for people, and not the other way around.

At Altis, we know that a productive and fulfilling workplace goes beyond functionality.
It’s about creating environments where people thrive, not just work. That’s why we’ve embraced the PERMA model, a framework developed by positive psychologist Martin Seligman that focuses on five key elements of wellbeing: Positive Emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishment.

Building on this commitment to wellbeing, Altis Project has launched an important research initiative focused on exploring the complex relationship between space and the behavioral responses of its occupants. This initiative investigates how the physical environment can influence emotional and social well-being within workplaces. It ensures that every project we undertake is grounded in the latest scientific evidence and a deep understanding of how spaces can enhance well-being and productivity.

When everyone’s gone, what’s left? The space you’re in.

At Altis, we believe that the workplace should fit the people who use it. We design with a human touch, crafting offices that prioritise the experience of those who inhabit them. Our commitment doesn’t end with the project’s completion; it extends into the everyday moments and long-term impact of the spaces we create. Every environment has the power to shape us, and our mission is to make that influence a positive one.

The office isn’t everything: but it should feel good to be there.
